As a whole straw hat of full salt water drenched my head and my children belly shrieked with laughter, all I could think was – this life is wonderful. The fierce sea wind was a strong as the 30 degree heat on our backs, it was everything I’d pictured, my family, salty kisses and smiles.

I aim to have as many of my own family photoshoots as possible each year sometimes even two or three, the children grow so fast and I’m desperate to celebrate and soak every bit of us up.

I have no problem being vulnerable for my children, letting go, getting away from my own insecurities and just being in the moment.

Like well-preserved fossils, these photographs will forever be there for them to marvel over. They’ll etch into their personalities and form layers of interesting memories to call on for strength and reassurance for the rest of their lives.

I do this for my family. Just as I encourage my clients to do the same for their own. I practise what I preach and live and breathe my ‘job’ because it is me inside and out. Life is to short to wait for the right time for something and one day these three little souls won’t fit on my lap any longer.

The wonderful human that is Victoria Lugton kindly photographed this summer near Littlehampton beach. The way she sees the world is beautiful and I love and respect her approach to life. She, just like me is a spontaneous soul and when I asked her with less than a weeks notice to photograph our family during the early summer heatwave I was so happy when she said yes.

Good brands have depth. Beneath the pretty ripples, they have the power to create from under the surface. They’ve been to the place where the sun meets the sea and they’ve deep dived into their own why.
More than shallow ripples that simply lick the shores. You can stand neck deep with them and trust in the knowledge that if you let go, they’ll hold you.
That feeling.
That’s what your looking for even if you didn’t know it before.
Take a step into the deep.

Thank you, Victoria from the bottom of my heart xx
