Heres what's included in your outdoor family photography workshop ticket:

Lets walk and talk all things outdoor photography! The hours before our styled shoot we'll location scout in the forest and i'll explain the reasoning behind some of my favourite areas.

We'll be observing the light, positioning, how to plan in advance, what to look for. Plus client styling, the practicalities of outdoor family and baby photography,  lessons on un-posing plus heaps more.

Watch how I work with a real life two parent family with children, plus a  motherhood and see how I practically achieve some of my popular outdoor family photography images.

You'll be able to watch as I shoot and how work with the clients *and* photograph scenes that i help curate, then if you wish to you can have a go at leading the real model families yourself.

I'll be right there for you tweaking, assisting and helping you shoot, whilst checking you've got some saleable shots.

All great portfolio content... but most importantly  you'll learn about curating varied galleries, un-posing prompts and how to hone joyful and emotive photography that sells.  This is not just a styled shoot.

Access to a 'how i edited it'  video after workshop to show you how I enhanced some of the key images from the shoot  plus 40% off ATSC presets (if you don't already have them)

A complete guide on how to value your services, price and position yourself in the UK family photography market.

Struggling with knowing what to charge? Worried that people won't pay that much? Trying to figure out how to charge more for all the effort you are putting in?

Unpack all the practical money mindset advice that has got me to where I am.

All whilst gaining tangible ways to assess your own talent, brand and client experience.

Yep that's right, you're very own online mentoring session after the workshop to focus on whatever you need. (Usually priced at £250)  In my experience, by including this connection with you after the workshop, you'll really have time to hone in the specifics of where you need to concentrate on with your art and business. This could include a website content audit, gallery review, deep dive on your editing, marketing plan, client workflow, gallery reviews all personalised to where you are at right now to get you to towards where you want to be.

There's time for you before and after the practical shooting to chat, connect and ask questions. As well as the 'walk and talk' you can also join me at the very local and lovely destination pub/restaurant afterwards. Personally i'll probably be devouring one of their pizzas! It will all be very relaxed buy yourself a hearty meal or have a light refreshment. Totally up to you, eat and drink as much or little as you want  and stay as long as you wish. The first refreshment is on me :)

Who you surround yourself with in life matters and this should also be the same for your business.

Aside from my business, I'm a married mama of 3 kids and have been a specialist family and baby photographer for over 12 years plus teaching other photographers for over 5 years.

Around the school runs, the night feeds and all the bits in between, I've grown my business around my lifestyle and figured out my own parameters of success, amongst the life juggles. I know what it takes to 'make it' in this industry and stay here.I absolutely adore helping others realise their potential and would love to meet you!

Answers to all the questions... but if you have anymore and want to chat i'm just a message away.

Q. Who is the photography workshop for?

Q. What should I bring?

A DSLR or Mirrorless, preferably 'full frame' camera, with either a 24/70mm zoom lens, or a 50mm, 35mm or 24mm prime lens. Comfortable clothes and shoes appropriate for the weather.

We'll meet at my home in Bracknell, Berkshire and explore on foot from there.  The full address will be provided apon booking. It is a 7 minute taxi/car ride from Bracknell train station and quickly accessible from m4 and m3 motorway junctions.

The area is full of texture, with patches of blonde grasses, swathes of purple and pink heather flowers, ferns and a mix of trees - predominantly pine. There is a 360 degree  hill/view point to shoot at.

Q. Where is it located?

Q. Whats the structure of the teaching?

Before the workshop I'll set up a whats-app, where we can all communicate easily.

The first part of the workshop will be relaxed walking, listening and asking questions as we explore the forest . I'll be covering heaps of topics relevant to location scouting, light, positioning, family and baby prompts and directions. We'll also sit for a bit and rest and relax and you'll have even more time for q&a.

Later on during the practical styled shoot, you'll be able to watch me work with the model families and also be able to work in pairs to photograph them and alone or alongside me.

From experience running previous photography workshops, retreats and styled shoot outs, i'm  well versed in ensuring there's enough balance between structured learning,  relaxed conversations and time to breathe!

After the styled shoot we'll go straight to the local country pub for more chatting and q&a.  Plus you'll have me all to yourself for a 1-2-1 mentoring call online afterwards.

The models will be an *everyday* family and also a mother and older baby/small toddler but very carefully selected by me to give the best chance of relaxed co-operation, as well have a good 'look' about them for great portfolio content for you.

Whilst it can be great working with trained, beautiful models, I believe that by working with regular (but stylish!) families during workshops you can gain the skills to help you in real life client facing situations.

Styling wise, we will be inspired by the earthy warm tones for outdoors and some pale neutrals mixed in.

Q. Who are the models and whats the vibe?

Not at all, but I would love you to come for a little bit if you can. I've scheduled this part in as it's a good way to build relationships with each other and more questions and also decompress and chat about how the shoot went. It's all very relaxed, everyone can purchase/pay for their own food and refreshments - although the first drink is on me!

I will be watching the weather the days prior, if there is definite rain forecast for the evening, I will look to reschedule. If the reschedule date means that you are unable to attend a full refund will be provided. They'll be constant communication the few days prior and you'll be provided at least 24 hours notice regarding any postponement. It's recommended that any hotel accomodation or travel tickets are booked on a flexible/changeable rate.

Q. Do I have to stay afterwards for the country pub/restaurant part ?

Q. What if it rains?

“Honestly, on a high, thank you this was my BEST investment ever”
