This Weybridge baby was teeny tiny when i photographed him at home for his newborn family photo shoot. Both Laura and Mark were so chilled to photograph and as far as photo shoots go, it was a really tender session. Baby Teddy reminded me a lot of my middle child Orson, as he was born under 6 pounds. He slept the entire session even through his feeds and outfit changes. I hardly heard a peep! Laura and I also took the opportunity to create some private breast feeding photographs which she decided to keep private, but I thought I would mention it as they are something that happens a lot during newborn photo shoots. Sometimes this is planned and other times, like on Lauras occasion unplanned but entirely beautiful all the same.

I adored photographing them in their Surrey flat. The tones of Lauras dress coupled with the swaddles and blankets we used really gave a simple and stylish vibe to their gallery. What you where really can add to the photographs. This is something I can a do assist with on all sessions I do. Not only is it about baby but also the styling around them and most importantly relaxed and connected parents willing to just love on their baby.

If you’d love to book a Newborn family photo shoot at home, please plan in advance where possible. Bookings are usually taken around your 20 week scan. On occasion I have space last minute especially if it is midweek.  If your baby is a few months still awesome and lovely and entirely possible to photograph still. The difference is less wrapped and asleep portraits and more expressions and eyes open and outfits!  I also photograph newborns outside too, mainly in the summer months.
