An outdoor newborn photo shoot in the summer months usually starts around 8pm. This particular evening I met Chloe, Ben and their new daughter Hope in the daisy field whilst it was in full bloom.
It was a perfect June evening, the weather conditions were ace with a smattering of clouds to add colour to a beautiful sunset photo shoot.
We were lucky enough to be able to shoot in between Covid-19 lockdowns. I chatted to Chloe about how her pregnancy had been and as an NHS nurse, I thought their daughter’s name ‘Hope’ was really on point for the crazy times we were all experiencing as a country.
The shoot was both tender and fun at the same time. We laughed, we chatted and Hope even opted for an outdoor breast feed surrounded by a million flowers! As a couple, they had some really beautiful moments enhanced by the windy weather conditions and also some great connection/banter shots.
2020 made me fall in love with outdoor newborn photoshoots. With enough preparation and patience they can be absolutely stunning and who doesn’t want to spend an evening outside in nature reflecting and celebrating the journey they’ve been on to hold a baby in their arms.
Even though we were blessed by good weather on this occasion they can work in other seasons too. I find the heathers another wonderful option for outdoor newborn photo shoots and older babies too!
All photo shoot preparation is carefully guided by me, a mother of three and expert baby whisperer. I adore putting babies into flowers and ferns! 2021 is almost booked out for summer so please book in advance if an outdoor newborn photo shoot is something you’d love to do with your newborn or older baby I’d love to hear from you.
